Guest Practices 03 : Beating the odds – Discrimination and bias in the workplace

Special Guest:

Paul Parker

During his career Paul excelled as a footballer with Fulham, QPR, Manchester United and for his country, England. A journey culminating in the 1990 world cup finals, arguably England’s best performance at the competition since 1966.

Paul was involved in THAT goal at Italia ’90 versus West Germany. That said, many may forget that it was his direct assist that help get one straight back!

Today he is active in the UK, S.E. Asia and wider as a pundit, blogger and coach. His passion for the game has never diminished.

In our conversation we explore Paul’s journey and his experience of racism from the terraces and in the locker room. Despite this, Paul made to the very top. These are lessons we can all learn from in business.
